History
A brief history
Don Kistler founded Soli Deo Gloria in 1984 at Grace Community Church in southern California; it became an independent ministry and moved to Morgan, Pennsylvania in 1986, issuing its first title, The Saints' Happiness, in 1988.1 Ligonier Ministries acquired Soli Deo Gloria on September 22, 2004, with Kistler becoming managing editor of the division.2 Ligonier in turn handed distribution to Reformation Heritage Books in early 2008, which continues to publish new titles under the Soli Deo Gloria name today.3 Works published while independent or under Ligonier are catalogued here rather than under Reformation Heritage Books.
