A brief history
B&H is the book division of Lifeway Christian Resources, the Southern Baptist Convention's publishing arm, whose roots reach back to 1891.1 Its Broadman Press line began in 1934; the name blends the surnames of two founders of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary — John A. Broadus and Basil Manly Jr.2 In 1993 Broadman Press joined with the Holman Bible line, a Philadelphia Bible house with roots in the 1700s, to form Broadman & Holman, renamed B&H Publishing Group in 2006.3
