Founded in 1971 by four established writers: John and Elizabeth Sherrill, who had written The Cross and the Switchblade and God's Smuggler; Catherine Marshall LeSourd, author of A Man Called Peter and Christy; and her husband Leonard LeSourd, editor of Guideposts.¹ Its first year produced The Hiding Place, Corrie ten Boom's account of sheltering Jews in occupied Holland, written with the Sherrills. Now an imprint of Baker Publishing Group.¹
