Bethany House
Christian fiction and practical Christian living; a pioneer of the Christian novel.
History
A brief history
Founded in 1956 by Bethany Fellowship, a Minneapolis missionary community whose founding families sold their homes and pooled the proceeds to buy a thirty-room house; publishing was one of several ventures — alongside wood toys, griddles, and camping trailers — that funded the fellowship's missionary training college.1 Bethany House became a pioneer of Christian genre fiction, and was acquired by Baker Publishing Group in March 2003.2
