History
A brief history
The scholarly arm of Baker Publishing Group, which grew out of the Grand Rapids bookstore Herman Baker opened in 1939 and the publishing programme he began a year later with William Hendriksen's More Than Conquerors.1 Baker Academic publishes biblical studies, theology, church history, and ministry texts for scholars, seminarians, and pastors.2
