The Works of Jonathan Edwards

Yale's critical edition of Edwards's writings, transcribed and annotated from his manuscripts by a team of scholars over half a century. Launched in 1957 under founding general editor Perry Miller, and carried on after his death by John E. Smith and then Harry S. Stout, the edition grew from a plan to publish Edwards's major treatises into a full 26-volume record of everything he is known to have written, including thousands of pages of sermons, notebooks, and Bible annotations that had never before appeared in print.
