The Works of John Owen

Banner of Truth's reprint of the "Works" portion of William H. Goold's 1850-53 edition (catalogued separately) — the edition most working libraries and pastors actually own today. Sixteen volumes, arranged in three divisions Goold set out: Doctrinal (vols 1-5), Practical (vols 6-9), and Controversial (vols 10-16). Does not include Owen's seven-volume Exposition of Hebrews, part of the original 24-volume edition but not of this reprint — Banner reprints that separately as its own set (catalogued separately). First catalogued by Internet Archive in 1965; Banner's own product listing gives 1968 as the set's publication date — the two years likely reflect, respectively, when individual volumes began appearing and when the full set was complete, rather than a real conflict.
