Back to Isaiah
WBT
A companion to the Word Biblical Commentary, and the shorter half of it. Where a WBC volume works through a book verse by verse, its Themes volume steps back and sets out the theology of that book in a hundred pages or so, written by the same scholar and aimed at a reader who wants the argument rather than the apparatus. Fifteen volumes appeared, by contributors including Leslie C. Allen, Richard Bauckham, George R. Beasley-Murray, John Goldingay, Leon Morris and Douglas Stuart.1
