Baker Academic's series of single-volume handbooks, each summarising a block of the New Testament section by section rather than verse by verse. They sit deliberately between a survey and a commentary: enough to get the sense of a passage quickly, without the apparatus, and written with the classroom and the pulpit equally in view. Benjamin L. Gladd edits the series and wrote its Gospels volume.¹
