History
A brief history
Founded in 1996 at Colorado Springs as an autonomous Christian imprint of Bantam Doubleday Dell, itself part of Random House.1 In 2006 it was joined with Multnomah Books — established in Oregon in the 1980s by Don and Davea Johnson — to form WaterBrook Multnomah, and it now sits within Penguin Random House.1 It publishes for the general Christian trade rather than the academic market.
