History

A brief history

Founded in Edinburgh in 1821 by Thomas Clark, T&T Clark built one of the great theological lists of the nineteenth century, including the Ante-Nicene Christian Library — its translation of the early Church Fathers.1 The firm was acquired by Continuum in 2003 and, with Continuum, by Bloomsbury Publishing in 2011; it continues today as the academic imprint Bloomsbury T&T Clark.2
