History
A brief history
Lexham Press was the book-publishing arm of Faithlife, the Bellingham, Washington company behind Logos Bible Software (founded in 1992 as Logos Research Systems), and built a list of biblical-studies reference, original-language tools, and historical and systematic theology.1 On 23 September 2025 Logos sold the press to Baker Publishing Group of Grand Rapids: Baker took on the catalogue and the editorial programme, while Logos kept the right to go on carrying Lexham titles inside its own software.23 The name still appears on new books, but the press no longer keeps a site of its own — lexhampress.com now redirects to Baker’s bookstore — and Baker does not list Lexham among its imprints, so it is filed here as a house in its own right rather than beneath Baker.4 Four of its books are held here: Mark Ward’s Authorized (2018), Kevin Vanhoozer’s Hearers and Doers and Harold Senkbeil’s The Care of Souls (2019), and Herman Bavinck’s The Foremost Problems of Contemporary Dogmatics (2025), the last of them published in the year of the sale.
