A brief history

Ignatius Press was founded in 1978 by the Jesuit priest Joseph Fessio and is among the most prominent Catholic publishers in the English-speaking world.1 It is the primary English publisher of Joseph Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI) and of the theologian Hans Urs von Balthasar.2
