A brief history
Founders Ministries began on 13 November 1982 as the Southern Baptist Founders Conference, formed to argue that the doctrines of grace held by the Southern Baptist Convention's own founders should be recovered in its churches; it has operated Founders Press since 1983 and the quarterly Founders Journal since 1990.12 Tom Ascol, pastor at Cape Coral, Florida, has led it for most of its life.2 The one Founders volume here is Ministry by His Grace and for His Glory, the Festschrift for Tom Nettles - whose own three-volume history of the Baptists this catalogue also holds, from Christian Focus.
