History
A brief history
Founded in 1875 by David Caleb Cook, who began printing age-appropriate Sunday-school lessons in Chicago in the years after the Great Chicago Fire.12 The firm moved to Elgin, Illinois, in the early 1880s and grew into one of the largest industrial employers in the Chicago area; it is now at Colorado Springs, publishing curriculum, worship music and trade books, and in 2025 - its hundred and fiftieth year - announced its expansion as Cook Media Global.13 Its trade list is where this collection meets it: Matt Chandler's The Mingling of Souls.
