History
A brief history
One of the imprints of Wipf and Stock, founded in 1995 by John Wipf of the Archives Bookshop in Pasadena and Jon Stock of Windows Booksellers in Eugene, Oregon.1 The house began by reprinting out-of-print scholarship on demand and moved into original publishing as authors began bringing it new work; Cascade takes the titles written for a general readership, where Pickwick takes the strictly academic ones.2
