- An abridgment of the twelve-volume Expositor's Bible Commentary, cut down for readers who want the exposition without the technical apparatus, and given charts, maps and tables the parent set lacks. Goodrick-Kohlenberger numbers mark every Hebrew or Greek word discussed at length, with an index to them at the back of each volume. Barker and Kohlenberger are the consulting editors of the abridgment rather than its authors; the underlying exposition is by the Expositor's contributors.
