The Works of Jonathan Edwards · Volume One
Freedom of the Will, and Other Treatises
When published in 1834, this edition of The Works of Jonathan Edwards was more complete than any others available to the public. It has been carefully revised by collation of all previous editions. This Banner of Truth edition is a reprint of the 1834 edition, and includes a memoir by Edwards’ great-grandson, Sereno E. Dwight, and has been revised and edited by Edward Hickman. ‘In my early days in the ministry there were no books which helped me more, both personally and in respect of my preaching, than this two-volume edition of The Works of Jonathan Edwards . . . I devoured these volumes and literally just read and read them. It is certainly true that they helped me more than anything else
