T C Hammond-Irish Christian

The arrival of T.C. Hammond in Sydney in 1936 marked the beginning of a new era with the impact of strong evangelical theology. He had also the gift of spontaneous and eloquent utterance. He left a profound mark on the students of Moore College, the clergy of the diocese of Sydney and the church throughout Australia. Hammond’s ministry was the solid foundation on which Broughton Knox was the build after his death. His name will never fade from the memory of the generation taught by him to take its stand on the great truths for which the Reformers lived and died. His biography will be welcomed by all who remember him and it will be valuable also to a new generation.
