The Edition

Notes: This is the SECOND edition, in an InterVarsity printing of 1994 — not the third, which is a different book with different editors and a different ISBN (9780830814398, edited by I. Howard Marshall, A. R. Millard, J. I. Packer and D. J. Wiseman). Searching the title alone surfaces the third edition first, and the two are easily confused: the second runs 1,326 pages under J. D. Douglas as organising editor with Norman Hillyer revising, while the third rewrote a hundred of the principal articles and revised every bibliography. Packer worked on both. No cover image located: Open Library holds no scan for this ISBN and InterVarsity's own site refuses automated requests.
