Currid wrote the text and Barrett drew the maps: more than 175 of them in colour, with seventy photographs, three-dimensional reconstructions of sites and objects, and around 65,000 words of narrative. Unusually for a Bible atlas it gives whole regions their own maps — Egypt, Mesopotamia, Italy, Greece — rather than treating everything outside Palestine as background. Paginated 349 plus a CD-ROM and a poster, both of which the catalogue does not track. The cover reads simply ESV Bible Atlas, with Crossway set vertically beside it; the fuller retail form is used here.
